Choice is Following the Snail Trail

After two full years, finally The Cinnamon Snail food truck is fully permitted for NYC. We will be serving many neighborhoods in Manhattan and Brooklyn starting this Thursday 12/8/11 with an appearance for brunch and lunch in Midtown West.

Expect visits from The Cinnamon Snail in the FiDi, Flatiron District, Midtown, the LES, Williamsburg, Green Point, and other areas on Manhattan and Brooklyn in the following weeks.

Our season is over on Xmas, but we will be back from our winter hibernation sometime around valentines day (weather permitting).
The Cinnamon Snail has been mostly in Hoboken, Jersey City, Newark and Red Bank NJ for the last two years. Hoboken is passing a new vending ordinance, which will make it completely unaffordable and difficult for food trucks to operate. So their loss in NYC’s gain!

Choice Gets Dirty!

Before the Thanksgiving break, Choice and Southern Hospitality paired up to host an awesome event in Hell’s Kitchen for Dirty Sugar Photography. The event was held for Dirty Sugar's client appreciation, thanking everyone for all of their help and also to showcase their write up in the holiday issue of InStyle magazine! Guests sampled down-home favorites like sliders, fried pickles and a variety of microbews while jamming to the acoustic tunes of upcoming band, Astoria Boulevard. Check out a few pictures below!

Choice is "In"

Congratulations to Joshua McKinley's fantastic run on this season of Project Runway! You may have come in second but you will always be first in the eyes of your Choice Productions Family! Joshua's designs were innovative and colorful and had the girls at Choice begging for every outfit. Make sure to keep a look out for him because we know he is going to "make it work"!

Choice is Weatherproof

Recently, Choice had the pleasure of working with Weatherproof to help showcase their new fall line. A few of our staff members helped model the coats in the stores and AnnMarie Nitti ended up becoming the model for Weatherproof's Website! We could not be more proud of her or more excited about the awesome shots she took! Check out the coats she models and make sure to support Weatherproof by buying their products, they were an amazing client! 

Choice Does Cabaret

 

On Halloween Weekend, Choice helped coordinate a blowout Halloween bash which required 40 of our staff members to be everything from costumed door girls to shirtless bartenders, and had a blast while doing it! Our founder even built from scratch a two-nozzle brass draft tower for two delicious German beers! It was a night to never forget for the Choice staff and reminded us of why we love what we do!

Anna Zoe ON TOUR

Anna Zoe, one of Choice's very own, is gearing up to go ON TOUR and we could not be more excited for her! Make sure to stay tuned for tour dates so that you can get your front row ticket, but for now enjoy her new music video "Someday."  This video is a perfect example of how Choice is like your very own family, by starring other Choice Staffers Warner Washington, Margarita Arias, Travis Wolfe, Melody Balczon, Jarrod Mayer as well one of our founders Matt Rachocki! Choice and the Pumped up KICKS

On Columbus Day, Choice staffers got together for our 6th Annual Choice Party to celebrate our company and all that we have to offer! This year, we enjoyed a few exciting games of Kickball and got just a little bit competitive....sorry Black Team, but the Gray Team was just too epic! Who knows, maybe we will have a rematch next year and you can redeem yourselves.

Emmys for the Event Industry

Since the excitement of the Emmys just ended, we at Choice wanted to fill you in on the Event Industry's very own Readers' Choice awards on BizBash. Although there may not be a physical red carpet or the A-List celebrities you know from the tabloids, these event producers, caterers and designers still feel like A-List celebrities to the Event Industry World. A Glowing Event

Choice recently had the pleasure of enjoying the brand-new Sephora in the Meatpacking district. Offering you mobile check out, a wall of foundations to make finding your perfect shade much easier and express services, this Sephora is pulling out all of the stops! Zoe Saldana made a stunning appearance and Choice Staff enjoyed the tunes of Samantha Ronson's band. Make sure to check out the new store and don't forget who tipped you off!

Acing at the US Open

Choice recently helped Momentum at the US Open introduce what they like to call the "Phygital World" a mixture between the physical and digital that creates greater engagement for clients and consumers. Dear Irene,

You look like a deformed cotton ball. Bloomberg and the MTA might be shaken up by you but we're calling out your bluff. Word has it you'll be a "tropical storm" by the time you reach us so no, I will not be evacuating. If you're one of those that does fear the wrath of Irene, please refer here: Hurricanes and New York City. It's full of valuable tips and information in case Irene isn't bluffing, but like we said, we know she is. So in the mean time, grab a beer and round up some friends and celebrate the impending "doom." 

Fall Pick: Picnics!

Is it just us or is it a bit chillier these days? Either Mother Nature is all about the breeze lately or Fall is upon us! Summer, we loved you but we're ready for the leaves to fall and our favorite fall activity, picnics!

What you'll be doing during the picnic: Central Park Conservancy Film Festival  kicked off this week with musically themed movies such as El Cantante and Bird with tonight's feature being Dreamgirls (yes, the Beyonce movie.) Tomorrow's feature is Shine a Light, the Martin Scorsese directed documentary about The Rolling Stones. Saturday is Viewer's Choice with A Star is Born, a Barbra Streisand feature about a has-been rock star falling in love with an up-and-coming singer.

What you'll be eating: Picnic fare of course! Since you'll be watching a movie, stray away from high maintenance foods that might get your fingers dirty or require a bit of light to see what you're eating. You don't want to be that guy that gets up to wash his hands or needs his cell phone light for your meal. Lean towards foods that can be eaten with utensils, require little napkin usage, but still taste great! Think sandwiches, pasta, salads, etc. Don't forget the sweets, blanket, and drinks.

Speaking of drinks... Have you ever heard of Fall into Naven Punch? Well let us introduce you.
1/2 oz Naven Natural Vanilla Liqueur
1 oz light spiced rum
1 oz apple juice
1/4 oz lemon juice
1 barspoon of freshly extracted ginger juice
1/4 oz maple syrup
2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Pomegranate seeds or nutmeg for garnish

1) Heat apple juice, rum, Naven, lemon juice over low heat.
2) Add the ginger juice, syrup, and bitters then pour into glass (or container in this case)
3) Top with pomegranate seeds or nutmeg for garnish.

There you have it folks, now go forth, picnic, and report back!

We recently stumbled upon custom jewelry maker Julie Nolan and we're taken aback with her beautiful creations. She and her husband hand make each of their pieces from their Brooklyn based home studio.

 We caught Julie at the San Francisco Renegade Craft Fair which travels across major cities in the U.S. If you missed it in your town, you're in luck as she also has her pieces for sale on her Etsy store, found here. She also has a blog you can check out which offers insight into her various collections.

Hamptons Magazine Clambake

Choice Productions and Hamptons Magazine teamed up to put on their Annual Clambake at the Montauk Yacht Club. The event was a major hit with plenty to eat, drink, and do (dancing, games, oxygen bar, you get the idea.) For more details, check out this awesome article by Guest of a Guest covering the event!
