You look like a deformed cotton ball. Bloomberg and the MTA might be shaken up by you but we're calling out your bluff. Word has it you'll be a "tropical storm" by the time you reach us so no, I will not be evacuating. If you're one of those that does fear the wrath of Irene, please refer here: Hurricanes and New York City. It's full of valuable tips and information in case Irene isn't bluffing, but like we said, we know she is. So in the mean time, grab a beer and round up some friends and celebrate the impending "doom."
Actually it now says that it will still be a category 1 hurricane by the time it hits land.
ReplyDeleteAnd also it doesn't need to be a massive tropical storm to cause major damage in the Northeast as we normally don't get such severe weather like this. A Tropical storm can still cause major flooding, downed trees and power lines, and massive damage caused by 80mph winds.
I'm not evacuating just yet either, but still better to be safe than sorry.
